Jesus At The Right Hand Of God

When they heard this, they were furious and gnashed their teeth at him.  But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God.  “Look,” he said, “I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.”

– Acts 7:54-56

Isn’t it Amazing how Jesus (Yeshua), the Son of God and Man, is standing at the right hand of God the Father in heaven?!!  Today, there are many Jewish people who do not believe that Jesus (Yeshua) is the Son of God, so from their point of view, this scripture from the New Testament would not be valid.  However, this scripture is very much valid because it is a true account of what Stephen saw in the heavens as he was filled with the Holy Spirit.  What gives this scripture in the New Testament validity is the Holy Spirit!  The Holy Spirit is Truth and it is well-known by many Jews as the Ruach HaKodesh – the Spirit of God!  You see, Stephen was FULL of the Holy Spirit and he was explaining to the Jewish people precisely what God was revealing to him!  Even as Stephen was sitting in the Sanhedrin, his face was like that of an angel!  Now, I don’t know about you, but if I saw someone’s face and it looked like an angel, I think I would know it by the Spirit and I think I would believe everything he had to say!  Yet, there were many who were infuriated by what Stephen had to say because they were holding on to their human traditions more than God!  God was trying to move his Jewish people to understand the POWER of the Holy Spirit (God’s Spirit) so that they might let go of their old customs and come to grasp Salvation through Jesus (Yeshua) their Messiah!  And when Stephen looked up to heaven, he saw the Awesome glory of God!!  He saw heaven standing open and Jesus (Yeshua) standing at the right hand of God!  This was the last thing the Jewish people wanted to hear!  They had shut their ears to God (not listening to the Holy Spirit) and thus they were shutting out what God had planned for their deliverance and that was his Son, Yeshua HaMashiach!  So today, do not harden your hearts and block your ears to the Holy Spirit, because it is God trying to speak to You to let you know about His Son, Yeshua, your Salvation!  And when you receive Yeshua into your heart you will one day have the promise of seeing exactly what Stephen saw… Jesus (Yeshua) standing at the right hand of God in heaven!
